Author Biography

Supriya Chaudhuri

  Supriya Chaudhuri is Professor of English (Emerita) at Jadavpur University, Kolkata,
India. Her research interests include English and European Renaissance literature, Indian
cultural history, travel writing, modernism, critical theory, and translation. Among recent
publications are Commodities and Culture in the Colonial World (co-edited, 2018), and
chapters in The Oxford Handbook of Modernisms (OUP, 2010), The Cambridge
Companion to Modern Indian Culture
 (CUP, 2012), Celebrating Shakespeare:
Commemoration and Cultural Memory
 (CUP, 2016), A Companion to Virginia
Woolf 
(Blackwell, 2016), The Cambridge History of Travel Writing (CUP, 2019), The
University Unthought
